Yonsei School of Business has launched its first undergraduate dual degree program through an agreement signed March 3 with ESSEC Business School in France.

Christian Koenig, Dean of International Relations at ESSEC, delivered the agreement signed by the dean of ESSEC to Yonsei for the ceremony in which Yonsei Provost Jaiyong Lee and Dean Donghoon Kim of Yonsei School of Business added their signatures to formally conclude the agreement.

The agreement specifies how up to five students from each university can receive a bachelor’s degree in business administration from both universities. Students at YSB are eligible to attend ESSEC, which is located about an hour’s drive northwest of Paris, at the beginning of their sixth semester. Students can obtain an additional degree after completion of two semesters with 30 ECTS (15 credit hours) each semester (60 ECTS, 30 credit hours), writing a graduation thesis, and serving an internship.

Dean Donghoon Kim said, “Our university has maintained partnerships with several universities in France, which led to the agreement for the double-degree program today. This agreement will be a great opportunity for students who wish to perform on a global level.”

ESSEC Business School is located in the suburbs of Paris and holds accreditation from AACSB and EQUIS. In 2015, Le Point magazine ranked its undergraduate business program the best in France.
