Yonsei School of Business has achieved the European Quality Improvement System’s (EQUIS) five-year reaccreditation issued by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).

EQUIS is an international accreditation assessed by the EFMD, one of the certification authorities in international business education. Yonsei School of Business is the only business school in Korea that holds all three national and international accreditations. The rigorous evaluation conducted by the EFMD is based on 10 categories, including strategy, education program, student, faculty, globalization, and university-industry cooperation. After a reaccreditation inspection last October, the EFMD highly evaluated Yonsei School of Business for its excellent faculty and students, university-industry cooperation, and extensive alumni network.

Receiving the five-year reaccreditation after achieving its first EQUIS three-year accreditation in 2012 is valuable to the Yonsei School of Business because it demonstrates its achievements in continuing to improve the quality of its business education. Among the EQUIS-accredited universities around the world, only 50 percent receive five-year accreditation.

Donghoon Kim, dean of Yonsei School of Business, said, “Our university has been proven to be the nation’s top business school with its five-year reaccreditation by the American Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), Korea Association of Business Education Accreditation (KABEA), and this year’s EQUIS five-year reaccreditation. Yonsei School of Business celebrated its hundredth anniversary this year. Carrying out the blueprint of the next 100 years, it will become a leading global business university.”
