Yonsei University Global MBA(GMBA) hosted its GMBA International Night on May 21 at the Sangnam Institute of Management.

Part 1 was a session for GMBA invited-alumni career mentoring. Alumni, working in domestic and foreign companies, shared their experiences. Alumni Chance Kennedy (Entering Class of 2010), who works in Singapore with Expeditors Singapore, and Eric Seong Him Wan (Entering Class of 2010), who works with TESCO International Sourcing in Hong Kong, emphasized the key goals undergraduates need to strive for in order to build an international career. In addition, as alumni working in companies in Korea, Allen Linznick (Entering Class of 2013, Coloplast Korea) and Salamat Sadicova (Entering Class of 2013, Novelis Korea) discussed the qualifications necessary for employment in Korea. GMBA enrolled students agreed that as jobseekers, the advice from these alumni provided a lot of help and confidence.

Part 2 began with a welcoming speech from Assistant Director Su Bin Im and was a session for bringing enrolled students and alumni together. GMBA enrolled students decorated the venue, and prepared food and entertainment. The venue, decorated with flags of all nations, further accentuated an International Night atmosphere. Sixteen representative dishes of various countries prepared by students of seven nationalities (including Japan, China, Indonesia, Thailand, France, and Italy) were served. With the GMBA student council as the masters of ceremonies, both alumni and enrolled students got to know one another as they enjoyed the entertainment. This session involved more alumni, which promoted more interaction between them and the undergraduates, creating a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere. Assistant Dean Su Bin Im and Professor Dae Ryun Chang of Marketing participated in many of the discussions.
