The Yonsei-CMC Leadership Program completed its sixth year in July with a lively 90-minute program that demonstrated the close associations developed between professors and the business school students from Yonsei University and Clermont McKenna College (CMC) who participated in the six-week program.

The elective business course consists of lectures by professors from the two schools, special guest lecturers, and field trips within Korea and to Hong Kong to visit such companies as Doosan Infracore, Deutsche, McGraw-Hill, and Wells Fargo. The cultural exchange aspect of the program requires students from the schools to pair up and live as roommates.

The completion ceremony included remarks by professors, awarding of certificates of completion, and a feedback session.

“Group presentations and writing helped improve my academic English skills, and I could learn in a lively atmosphere thanks to the CMC friends who were always positive and passionate, no matter what” said Taenam Kim (entering class of 2012, Business), who participated in the program.

Sam Firth, a student at Claremont McKenna College, said, “It was interesting to learn about Hyundai Motor’s design process from the concept stage to its implementation in the special lecture given by the chief designer of Hyundai Motors.” Cristina Lee said, “It was great time for the two university students to have various opportunities to experience Korean culture outside the campus together.”

Claremont McKenna College students said they made unforgettable memories and enjoyed their time in Korea.
