Yong Joo Kang (Finance) and Jeeyeon Kim (Marketing), who received their doctoral degrees from YSB in August 2018, have joined the faculties of Thompson Rivers University in Canada and National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan, respectively. Kang and Kim entered the school in 2014 and earned their doctorates in August 2018.

Kang began his career in January and is teaching accounting and finance. Before entering the Ph.D. program in the Yonsei Graduate School of Business he had earned a master’s degree from Stanford University in financial engineering and an MBA from New York University. He also worked at an investment bank to gain practical knowledge of financial markets, especially those in Asia.

Kim began her teaching career in February in the College of Management of the National Sun Yat-sen University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. She studied law as an undergraduate and then worked in the field for about two years before studying marketing at Yonsei University, where she studied for her master’s and doctorate degrees under Professor Jeong-Hye Choi, who encouraged her to broaden her explorations of her field. "Thanks to the considerate help of professors, a semester of teaching and studying at Spain's IAE University turned out to be of great help in gaining a faculty appointment," said Kim, who interviewed and received offers at schools in North America and Europe before accepting the post in Taiwan.
