MBA Global Program Held in Europe and U.S

 During the summer semester, Yonsei MBA conducted its GTF (Global Field Trip) and GET (Global Experience Trip) programs at leading universities in Europe and the United States, giving the programs’ participants an opportunity to observe global market trends

 The Executive MBA program offers GTF programs I and II to its students. GFT I and GTF II are undertaken in the first and second years, respectively. The sixth intake of EMBA, the entering class of 2015, participated in July at the ESADE Business School, Spain, in GET II with the theme “Build a Global Mindset With a Profound Knowledge.” Thirty-eight students participated. Student Mijeong Hyun said, “It was valuable to hear about the recent issues affecting the globe, such as Brexit, from the perspective of Europe and to analyze business cases of starting businesses and innovations.”


 Forty students in the seventh intake of EBMA, the entering class of 2016, participated in the GFT I Program in July in Seattle at the Foster School of Business, University of Washington. The theme was “Strategies in Leadership Development and Innovation Culture,” and the program was composed primarily of lectures on leadership and the global economy. The students also visited Google and, the latter a pet-care service provider. Student Chan Ki Min said, “It was an opportunity to realize how leadership can lead to great changes in organizations” and added that he was able to obtain new ideas and a broader view of business after seeing providing high quality service by using high-level data analysis.

 The GET for Corporate MBA, Finance MBA and Global MBA students was held in June at Loyola Marymount University and at George Washington University, Washington, D.C. Forty-five and twenty-six students participated in the programs, respectively. At Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles, California, lectures on the theme “Innovation in the Entertainment Industry” focused on the entertainment industry. Students visited Electronic Arts, YouTube and Machinima. At George Washington University, the theme was “Social Entrepreneurship,” and students visited the World Bank and the Korean War Veterans Memorial.
