Twenty-six executive MBA students from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), globally ranked university, visited Yonsei School of Business from June 11 to 13 under the theme of “From Manufacturing Innovation to Culture Innovation.”
This program has enhanced the effectiveness of intensive learning by a three-day combination of firsthand exposure to manufacturing and cultural entities and their executives, daily academic lectures on different industries and businesses, and analysis of business cases.
On the first day, the students attended lectures focused on Korean corporate management in Korea's beauty industry and then visited the headquarters of AmorePacific, the flagship company of the industry, after exploring its business case. The second day consisted of lectures on Samsung, a leading global company, and readings and discussions on examples of Samsung's dynamic capabilities. After that, they looked around the Hyundai Motors Studio. On the last day, they learned of the origin and growth of the Korean contents business which recently has become the country’s fastest growing industry.and shared opinions on the Korean entertainment industry. In the afternoon, they visited the JTBC studio.
Each company visit yielded valuable insights for the students by hearing corporate executives’ personal direct explanations of current issues.
